Very busy teaching the course in Sept/Oct and between writing notes and preparing classes there hasn't been much time for website. If you feel like joining in then have a look at the Wildlife and Landscape class that I put in the Tutorial section. I will probably update one or two of the photos in it (like the goldfinches) and unfortunately you only get a summary of the class, the notes are on the Tutorials Page.

I photographed Eurasian Jays a few weeks ago in Scotland. Its a real pity the fighting pair were behind a tree...There's always next year. I hope you like them.

Added a gallery of photographs to the Animal Behaviour section, "Features" on the White Stork. These are pictures taken in Slovakia this year, showing the White Stork display at the nest. Gallery is Here:

Waterford Pelagic 2011

A selection of pictures from a pelagic trip in August, which left from Waterford. Not to many close encounters, however it was my first sea birding trip and we did see common dolphins as well.

Irish Photographer Of The Year 2010 - Andrew Kelly

After being short-listed by Magazines Ireland, it was a real pleasure to receive this award in recognition of the photography I have done for IWT magazine during the year. The award covers 110 magazines in Ireland representing all types of magazines from Image, U, RTE Guide, Cara, Hot Press, Sky Magazine etc..
